Create the distribution-path decision plan

Draw duct trunks, branches, returns and modifications for a ducted path, and indoor heads, line sets, drains and room transfer paths for a ductless path. Mark rooms dependent on doors, existing heat or future work. Compare controls, sound-sensitive locations, filter and service access, penetrations, finish repairs and trade responsibilities. Attach room-load and airflow evidence used to choose the path. This plan documents practical differences without promising uniform comfort, silence, minimal disruption or whole-home coverage from a system category alone. Before selection, test each distribution concept against closed-door operation, shoulder-season loads, cleaning access and the coldest or hardest-to-serve rooms. Record which comfort limitations remain accepted by the owner.
